What is the Easy Access Door System?

It’s easy come, easy go with the Ford Easy Access Door System. Opening the front and sliding rear doors gives you an unobstructed 1.5m wide aperture on each side, making it easier to get in and get out. This unique system achieves this by cleverly concealing its central strengthening pillar within the doors, rather than having it fixed into the body side.

How does it work?

Ford have maintained the same level of safety and sturdiness whilst removing the central body pillars and integrating them into the Ford B-MAX doors to ensure excellent crash protection. The pillars often obscure visibility and limits access to the vehicle, so the removal of these pillars allows for excellent access in terms of both width and height.

The rear seats and front passenger seat can be folded flat in the B-MAX to create a large loading platform, to accommodate large items such as flat-pack furniture and bicycles.
