This annual event allows the pubic to showcase their fantastic Ford vehicles and mingle with other Ford enthusiasts, enjoying a brilliant atmosphere within the inner paddock of the circuit. Haynes were excited to present the impressive 5-litre V8 Ford Mustang and rugged MS-RT Ford Ranger as course pace cars for the event and it was great to see the Ford Mustang getting a lot of attention, with many taking photographs of it both on and off the track.

Our V8 Mustang was noise tested before entering, and with an extraordinary static level of 101 dB, it was certainly going to turn some heads when leading the pace lasp around the track. The rumble of the V8 Mustang could be heard in competition with the revving engines and ‘popping’ exhausts of the likes of the Focus RS Mk3. The morning was spent enjoying the wide variety of old and new Ford’s driving on the world famous track. Everyone was thrilled that the weather stayed pleasant, so that the assembly of new and classic Ford models could be fully appreciated.

As it was the 30-year anniversary of the release of the Sierra RS500, a fantastic parade lap took place in the afternoon. Haynes were delighted to have their V8 Mustang participating in this alongside the RS badged vehicles, where its Race Red paint and unique graphics pack was distinctive on the track. It was exciting to see it drive alongside a variety of fantastic Ford’s, including the Focus RS Mk1, Mk2 and Mk3 and a unique Sierra Cosworth RS, blending both old and new Ford Performance. The Ford models looked impressive on this particular track with all of its dips and bends, as they made it look easy tackling the famous Paddock Hill Bend.

Haynes staff were present throughout the day to happily chat to visitors, welcoming any Ford related questions they had. It appeared to be an excellent day for visitors who loved having the opportunity to demonstrate their Ford’s, and it was also excellent for Haynes to witness the appreciation for the spectacular V8 Mustang. The response to Haynes social media updates show the interest in our cars, and emphasise that the public enjoy seeing them.
