New Ford Kuga
Taking the Sports Utility Vehicle to the next level, the Ford Kuga has been completely redesigned to create the ultimate Sports Utility Vehicle. Available in a choice of four series, Zetec, Titanium, ST-Line and Vignale, the range has a model and specification to meet the needs of any one looking for something that is a break from the norm.

OVERVIEW

Ford’s most advanced SYNC3 technology keeps you in touch with the outside world while on the move. The new interface features a smartphone like pinch and swipes interface for even more spontaneous navigation and connectivity. Smart phone connectivity and display is achieved thanks to the built in Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. If you are unfortuantly involved in an accident Emergency Assist automatically contracts the local emergency services and gives them your vehicle location, when the airbags are inflated – ensuring that you are not left stranded.

Adaptive Cruise Control  works like a normal cruise control allowing you to set and maintain a constant speed, however slows you down if the car in front gets within a pre-determined distance using the built in sensors.

Driving technology forward

The Kuga is loaded with technology that is designed to assist your driving experience and make it as easy as possible. Active Park Assist renders struggling to park in tight spaces a thing of the past – leave the Kuga to steer whilst you control the gears, accelerator and breaks. The built in Rear View Camera shows the view behind when the reverse gear is selected allowing extra driver peace of mind. Taking the Sports Utility Vehicle to the next level, the Ford Kuga has been completely redesigned to create the ultimate Sports Utility Vehicle.

From intuitive voice controlled SYNC 3, to an effortless electronic parking brake. From a clever system that can help brake for you, to paddle shift gears you can change with your fingertips. The New Kuga is packed with a raft of new and upgraded technologies. And all exist to make every drive more sure-footed, more efficient, more fun.

Go hands-free with SYNC 3 SYNC 3 is our most advanced version to date. It’s faster and easier to use, with enhanced voice commands and even more functionality. The new interface has larger buttons for improved usability, and the 8” Touchscreen now features pinch-and-swipe gestures found on smartphones and tablets for even more intuitive navigation. SYNC 3 also features AppLink, Apple’s CarPlay and Android Auto, to display your smartphone’s information on the touchscreen. (Optional on Zetec).

Please note: Full SYNC 3 smartphone integration is only available with iPhone 5/Android 5.0 (Lollipop) or higher. Some SYNC 3 functions require a data connection, so mobile data charges will apply. To check whether Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are available in your market, please check official Apple CarPlay and Android Auto websites for the latest information.

Endlessly easy parking Active Park Assist offers enhanced new capabilities. It uses ultrasonic sensors to work out if your Kuga can fit into a parking space. If it can, the system will steer you safely in while you operate the gears and pedals – whether you’re parallel or perpendicular parking. When you’re ready to set off again, it will even steer you out of the space. (Optional on Zetec and Titanium)

Hands-free tailgate Since its launch, Ford’s hands-free tailgate has proved a resounding success - especially with those who lead active lives. If your hands are full, but you have your KeyFree fob on you, then you need only wave your foot under the rear bumper and the tailgate will open automatically as it senses your presence. You can also operate the tailgate with buttons inside the Kuga.

An electronic parking brake A clever new Electronic Parking Brake makes the traditional handbrake lever a thing of the past. You can now apply the parking brake by using a button on the centre console. As well as creating extra cabin space, this feature makes life easier and reduces the need to adjust the brake during service intervals (not available on Zetec)

Help when reversing out Cross Traffic Alert is a brand new technology that helps reduce the guesswork and worry when reversing out of a space. It detects oncoming vehicles and, if something’s approaching, it will sound a warning and illuminate a light in the corresponding wing mirror. (Optional Feature)

Headlamps that see around corners Advanced Bi-Xenon headlamps include Adaptive Lighting with Dynamic Curve Lighting. Not only will they turn as the wheel does to illuminate further into a curving road, they also adjust their beam automatically to match your driving conditions. There are eight kinds of beam, including ones for residential areas, motorways, country roads and city centres. Below the headlamps you’ll find an LED daytime running strip which helps improve visibility in daylight hours. (Optional on Titanium and ST-Line, Standard on Vignale)

* The declared fuel consumptions and CO2 emissions are measured according to the technical requirements and specifications of European Directive 80/1268/EEC and the European Regulation (EC) 715/2007 as amended by (EC) 692/2008. Fuel consumption and CO2 emissions are specified for a vehicle type and not for a single car. The applied standard test procedure enables comparisons between different vehicle types and different manufacturers. In additional to the fuel efficiency of a car, driving behaviour as well as other non-technical factors are very important in determining a car’s fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. CO2 is the main greenhouse gas responsible for global warming. A guide on the fuel economy and CO2 emissions which contain data for all new passenger car models is available at any point of sale free of charge or can be downloaded from http://carfueldata.dft.gov.uk/.
